Monks Gate vineyard is located in the Yamhill-Carlton District AVA of Oregon’s northern Willamette Valley.  Renowned for its production of luscious Pinot Noir wines, the region has a maritime climate with cool nights and warm dry summer days.

The vineyard site ranges in elevation from 260 to 440 feet on predominantly south to southwest slopes.  The soil type is Willakenzie, a silty clay loam over siltstone.  The vineyard is not irrigated and is farmed sustainably to ensure that it will be environmentally and economically viable for generations to come.

The 14 acres currently in production are planted to three rootstocks and four clones.  We believe this adds to the diversity of our terroir and provides us the ability to craft a  distinctive wine.
